It's not unlike The Electra Saga, except for the all-powerful blue dog. And there's a human inkblot. Linda Post's installations are three-dimensional time-based experiences that emerge out of an investigation of the spacial qualities of audio and video and resonate in relation to shared cultural experience. Wellspring is Ruth Margraff's new "world folk opera" set in 1999 war-torn Sarajevo. It follows a United Nations peacekeeper in Bosnia Herzegovina as she is seduced by brothers who serenade her as a modern Rebecca West with war criminal poetry and Maxfield Parrish lutes. |
